OddAtelier

In November 2023, Idol Jennie Kim created her own company OddAtelier (OA). In late December Jennie posted this message on her Instagram “Hi, this is Jennie. This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received. I’m also excited about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA.” Later, on Lee Hyori’s red carpet, Jennie first introduced her new company to the public for the first time, mentioning how she learned a lot from her past agency and how doing this feels like the most comfortable way for her to manage her solo career while continuing with her group activities.

While the actual purpose of the company isn’t very clear yet, what we do know is that “OA is a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected”. However, most think it is a music agency. During summer 2023, Jennie was invited to Dua Lipa’s podcast where she said she had to hide a lot of parts of her personality due to being a K-pop idol and aims to break more boundaries and do things differently, to make future idols’ lives easier. 

One of the main things that got fans’ attention was how the background on OA’s official website is Jennie’s You and Me solo background. Some think it was a clue for her new agency, however, because her song was officially released early October most think it wasn’t a clue, but rather she just chose her latest song as a background for her website.
